Stratagem Tax Analytics LLC runs stratagem.tax. This policy explains what information the website collects, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the website at stratagem.tax and the inquiry form on it. Once you become a client, your tax and financial information is handled under your engagement letter and the separate privacy notice we give you at that time, and documents you share in our client portal are also covered by the portal provider’s own policies.
Information you give us
When you send the “Become a client” form, we receive:
- your first and last name, email address and phone number;
- your state of residence and whether you are an individual, self-employed or a business owner;
- your business name, if you give one;
- the services you are interested in, and anything you choose to write in the notes field.
We also receive whatever you include when you email us. Please do not send Social Security numbers, tax returns or other sensitive documents through the form or by email. If you become a client, we will give you access to a secure portal for those.
Information collected automatically
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising tags or any other tracking technology. Like any website, the services that deliver it receive technical information with each visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested:
- Netlify hosts the website, keeps standard server logs and receives and stores form submissions for us.
- Fontshare, run by the Indian Type Foundry, supplies the website’s typefaces, so your browser requests them from its servers when a page loads.
We do not use this technical information to identify you.
How we use your information
- to reply to your inquiry and arrange an introductory call;
- to understand your situation and decide together whether we are a good fit;
- to keep reasonable records of our correspondence;
- to meet our legal and professional obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or add you to a marketing list without your agreement.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the website and our practice, such as Netlify for hosting and form handling and our email provider, and only so they can provide those services. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the firm.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for as long as we need it to respond to you and to keep reasonable business records. If you do not become a client, we delete your inquiry when it is no longer needed for those purposes. Client records are kept for the periods our professional and legal obligations require.
How we protect it
The website is served over an encrypted connection, and we limit access to inquiry information to the people who need it to respond to you. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, which is why we ask you not to send sensitive documents through the form.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information you have sent us by emailing info@stratagem.tax. Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may give you additional rights, and we will honor the requests that apply to you. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Do Not Track
Because this website does not track visitors across sites or over time, it does not respond differently to Do Not Track browser signals, and no third party collects that kind of information through it.
Children
This website is meant for adults and business owners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on the website before it takes effect.
